New video premieres in Post-Punk Magazine
Alternative rockers Japan Suicide have released the new video for their track ‘For Every Flaw’ off their 11-track album ‘Santa Sangre’, newly released via Unknown Pleasures Records. Like something resembling a visual history of Jesus & Mary Chain, this video documents the band’s recent shows, peppered with urban imagery with still images coming to life over various gigs and grainy effects like a throw back to the classic late-1980s 120 Minutes era.
Based in the central Italian city of Terni, Japan Suicide is a five-piece comprised of Stefano Bellerba (vocals, guitar), Leonardo Mori (synth), MatteoLuciani (bass), Saverio Paiella (guitar), and Daniele Cruccolini (drums). Formed in 2010, they united over their love of Joy Division, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, and Depeche Mode.
The ‘Santa Sangre’ album is now available through online stores and streaming platforms. The vinyl edition, which will not be ready for some time now and will be released through a separate label, will feature a slightly different track list. More details will be announced at a later time, as well as live dates in Mexico and the U.S. west coast in May.
