My name is Iyvon Edebiri and I am the Artistic Director of The Parsnip Ship, a monthly radioplay and music podcast series.
I am reaching out today to invite you to a hybrid live concert event (blending musical theater, politics, civic engagement and the literary world) we think you would be interested in attending, because of our cross-collaborators is the The Bushwick Book Club!
On Tuesday, October 23rd, join us, LICA, and Theatre C for music and civic conversations as we all present FARMED: A Live Podcast Album by Trevor Bachman, featuring performances by The Bushwick Book Club. More info can be found in the info and invite below.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you and your members at FARMED.
In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, the animals have seized their independence from the humans who have held them captive. From this place of freedom, they are able to build new lives with a blank slate – a place where anything is possible. Our country, like The Animal Farm, is founded on the principles of independence and freedom. Part of realizing the vision for our country lies in the need for democracy, which is propelled and driven by the civic act of voting – both of which are becoming fragile concepts in our world. Join LiCA, Theatre C, The Bushwick Book Club and The Parsnip Ship for music and civic conversations as we explore voting rights through the lens of Orwell’s Animal Farm – just two weeks before the 2018 midterm elections!
Tickets start at $5!
