A primal sound for ugly times
Ugly Scene – The new EP from Matt Finuacane
Brighton based musician Matt Finucane is happy to be “an explorer and purveyor of the wonderfully unconventional and confrontational”, taking his influences from Rock and Krautrock from the 70s.
All of his heroes may be dead but Matt is carrying the baton of that raw 70s sound with each release as you can hear when he growls he’s “sick of it all” in ‘Not Too Far’.
After his self released ‘This Mucky Age’ (2011), ‘Glow In The Dark’ (2012) and ‘Threaten Me With Your Love’ (2017) Matt is back with the brilliant ‘Ugly Scene’ out for release on May. 11th
Gigs are solo acoustic, in a duo or with an electric band as the occasion demands.
If you haven’t yet delved into the wonderful, quirky world of Matt Finucane, ‘Ugly Scene’ is a perfect place to do just that.
“Really should be heard by many, many people” – Louder Than War
“Muchlike with any good outsider, the more you listen to the songs the more natual they become and soon thse quirks become hooks” – This Is Not A Drill
