HOLLOW – The coming back after 20 years
Sweden’s progressive/power metal band HOLLOW ink a worldwide record deal with ROCKSHOTS RECORDS
“Between Eternities of Darkness” is HOLLOW’s coming back after 20 years from the latest release “Architects of the Mind” (1999, Nuclear Blast Records).
Right now HOLLOW is a solo project by Andreas Stoltz, singer, composer and guitarist from Sweden.
The new album “Between Eternities of Darkness” consists of 10 songs of progressive power metal and plays for about 45 minutes. It’s a dark, cathartic tale about running from problems, facing adversities and searching for a place to fit in. “Between Eternities of Darkness” is an album you should listen to from start to end.
“It’s a journey through a short period in a small family’s life. This particular period is dark and tragic, but they’ve seen better days. Light and beauty remain in memory“, says Andreas Stoltz.
The album was written and recorded during the fall of 2017 and early winter in 2018. “Between Eternities of Darkness” was mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström at Enhanced Audio Productions, Umeå, Sweden.
“Between Eternities of Darkness” will be released via Rockshots Records on December 6 on all the major digital platforms, and on January 25 (Europe) / February 8 (North America) in physical format.
The music is melodic, emotional, atmospheric and of course from time to time crunchingly heavy. Andreas also sings in Binary Creed, who released two albums, “Restitution” and the latest “A Battle Won” released in 2016 by Rockshots Records

HOLLOW Biography
Hollow was formed early in the 1990’s by Andreas Stoltz (guitars and vocals), Thomas Nilsson (bass guitar) when Andreas and Thomas found that they shared an interest in metal and composing during their military service in the Swedish army. Later on Thomas’s friend Urban Vikström joined Hollow on drums. For a couple of years Hollow was a trio, but the guitar parts of the songs often needed an additional guitar. Hollow started looking for another guitarist and found Marcus Bigren, who had been active in other bands previously. In 1995 Hollow released the self-titled EP on local label Zakana Records. Hollow performed mostly on local scenes, but did a small tour in Norway with Divided Multitude and played Wacken Open Air in 1999.
Hollow released two full length albums on Nuclear Blast: Modern Cathedral in 1998 and Architect of the Mind in 1999. Both albums were re-mastered and released by Polish Metal Mind in 2010 in a two-CD release, which lead Angry Metal Guy to writing this on AOTM in their review: “this is right up there with the best metal concept albums of all time “.
After the tour in Norway Andreas started suffering from tinnitus and all music was paused for roughly 10 years. During that time Andreas still wrote and recorded songs, but wasn’t active in any band. However, it all started over in 2012 when Andreas started a metal covers band with a co-worker. Right now Andreas is active in that band plus of course Binary Creed, where he sings and plays guitar. Hollow is now a solo project with all music and lyrics composed and performed by Andreas.
