The Burnley band’s well-received debut album Head Full of Fog, saw Ring Ring Rouge take their lively instrument-swapping set across the North West, featuring frequently on BBC Music Introducing in Lancashire with Sean McGinty.
Since then, weddings and newborns have occupied the time of the band outside the world of music whilst they set to work on the follow-up to their debut album.
The four-piece began recording drums and bass for Talking in Instalments at Hermitage Works Studio in London with Margo Broom producing, before returning to their roots to complete guitars and vocals at Groove Studios in Burnley with producer Matt Bruce.
The 15-track album begins with the mostly instrumental 80/40 and title track Talking in Instalments before the pace is lifted by the lead single, You Fire offers the album an instalment of swaggering Rock and Roll which makes way for the brooding For Us. The album grooves to its conclusion through the playful Dance With Youand the bass-driven Scrubs before the reflective closer There When I’m Not.
Since forming in 2011 the four-piece have gone on to impress audiences across the North West with their instrument swapping live performances and eclectic sound.
In April 2014, Ring Ring Rouge released their debut album, Head Full of Fog before embarking on a number of gigs across the North West including a date in Manchester with a DJ set from Inspiral Carpets’ Clint Boon.
August 2019 sees the release of the band’s long-awaited second album Talking in Instalments with live shows set to be announced soon.
